Havenbrook Media is primarily made up of the husband and wife team of Josh and Mary Baldwin, supported by a cast of designers, directors, DPs, developers and other artists. By acting as media managers for your project, we put the right team together to effectively and efficiently bring your story to the market.
Staff
Josh Baldwin is a publisher, filmmaker, and musician located in Lewisburg, WV. Born and raised in Huntington, WV, he attended Marshall University where he received a degree in English before moving to Europe to live and work for a year. He returned to receive his master’s degree at UNC-Wilmington before moving to Lewisburg in 2005, where, at 26 years old, he founded the Greenbrier Valley Quarterly, a cultural and lifestyle magazine that is now in its 14th year of publication. He has been awarded the Young Gun award from WV Executive (the youngest to ever receive the honor), and the State Journal’s “40 under 40.” He received a number of other recognitions locally and was elected to serve two terms on Lewisburg City Council, as well as being an adjunct English professor for New River Community and Technical College. Six years ago he founded the Lewisburg Literary Festival, where he has brought dozens of renowned authors and filmmakers to Carnegie Hall for intimate interviews and talks. He was also part of the group that founded TEDx Lewisburg. Four years ago he started working on his first film, The Contender, of which he produced and directed, and won Best Feature Documentary at the WV Filmmakers Festival. This past year, Baldwin produced the short documentary The Flood, winner of Best Short Documentary at WV Filmmakers Fest, and recently directed the short Down on Sandusky Road, written by award-winning playwright Jonathan Joy. He is also the guitar player and songwriter for the rock band Pontiac. Currently, Baldwin is the owner of Havenbrook Media, a creative agency, and Black Lantern Productions, a video production company, both located in Lewisburg, where he lives with his wife, Mary, and their three children—Stella, Piper, and Milo.
Mary has been the primary graphic design artist for Havenbrook Media, Inc. since its inception. She has been solely responsible for many accounts, including Lewisburg Downtown Business Association, Lewisburg Chocolate Festival, Carnegie Hall, and United Way. She is well versed in Adobe CC products and other valuable software applications. She is also a professional photographer and has developed many campaigns from the ground up.
Morris has been in the web/graphic design business for around 18 years. A graduate of The Art Institute of Pittsburgh w/ a degree in Computer Animation/Multimedia. Right out of school he worked as a graphic artist for a national rug company, Bacova Guild, designing graphics for rugs, shower curtains and floor mats. After 12 years, he moved on to The Greenbrier resort where he was the Web Developer/Online Graphic Artist, developing websites for all Greenbrier entities, as well as all print/digital advertising campaigns. After 4 years, he decided to strictly become a freelance artist.
